Hurricane? What hurricane? I missed out on the last two Wednesday hikes with my co-workers, but got back into the swing of things this week with a night outing in the park at Cedar Hill Golf Course. We were treated to hurricane-like conditions, okay maybe more like tornado conditions, hmmm…, alright none of that is true it was just high winds. Consequently, only three “hardcores” — I’ll count myself as one — made it out for the hike. Maybe the other two were weren’t quite truthful, but the consensus after the first five minutes was that the conditions weren’t really that bad.

Here’s to hoping for some good weather for next week’s Wednesday hike, but it is the fall here on the west coast so I guess all bets are off.
