Ermmm, cold and frosty today in BC. I might even go so far as to say, what the hell is going on. For undisclosed reasons I was over in Vancouver yesterday and today with my significant other. It has been good to see some of our mainland friends despite the brief nature of our visit. Exercise, exploration, and hang-over removal were some of the motivating factors at play in the decision to go for a hike at Burnaby Mountain today. The hikers: Michelle, Steph, Chris, Vince, Bryan, Meanie, and me.

Hikers getting ready to throw down with bikers on their home turf - the Burnaby Mountain Bike Skills Area. On a more serious note, the skills area looked pretty cool and reminded me that it has been a while since I rode stuff like this.

We hikers and our beast brought all the fury we could muster to the homeland of the bikers thus ridding the world, or at least what can be seen of it here, of all bikers.

The frost lingered all day in the shadow of Burnaby Mountain. This particular stretch is part of the Trans-Canada Trail.

If you look closely you may be able to make out an afro-wearing tree stump with what looks like eyes.

Higher up on Burnaby Mountain there were some nice multi-use trails. It was nice to get into the sunlight after farting around on the dark/cold side of the mountain.

Our hiking beast seemed content with the outing until I accidentally kicked her a little later on in the hike.
