Cool! Another road ride today. I still feel like a slug — slow and slimy. Maybe slimy is a bit inappropriate, but I did manage to get pretty sweaty today; I might have been a bit overdressed. Whatever, it wasn’t raining while I was out today and I didn’t get any flats. Unfortunately, I haven’t got much more to say at the moment, and sorry, I didn’t take any photos during the ride.
Oh, I guess I could say that I thought I saw a Victoria cycling celebrity. While riding through Mt. Doug I caught up to a group of four guys one of whom was sporting Garmin-Slipstream pro-cycling team gear including bike. I suppose this guy could have been anyone, but given that Ryder Hesjedal (stage winner at this year’s Vuelta Espana) hails from around here, and I kind of remember what he looks like from my mountain bike racing days, it might have actually been him. I wasn’t feeling overly talkative at the time and was happy to sit on the back of the group until we went our separate ways a couple kilometres later.
