Given my lack of group riding during the last year, I am, not surprisingly, feeling a bit squirrelly riding my bike in groups. To help combat the squirrel, I headed out on another group ride this morning (that’s number two this week), this time a bit of a longer one (about 90km) around the Saanich Peninsula.
It felt good to go a bit faster today, but I guess I should come clean and admit that I didn’t actually ride with the group the whole time; I took a detour on West Saanich and Prospect Lake Road. There were some strong riders out and at the end I think it was down to a group of about 7 or 8 moving along at about 40km/h or so around the time I turned off onto Prospect Lake Road. It was good today, good weather and good ride; more please, but less squirrel would be good.
Oh yeah, more Shirley Temples too please:)
GPS Data: About 90km (didn’t start the timer when I should have) – 2h54m – 28.1km/h – GPS route

Part of the group ride heading through the Uplands near Victoria, BC. Slightly cool, but great weather otherwise.

I know you like the shirley temples…. Maybe they will equal less squirrel?
