Ferry Ride – Seattle to Portland Bike Ride Weekend

It’s here. Well, it’s almost here. It’s the weekend of my gargantuan Seattle to Portland bike ride. There’s still a full day and a bit before things commence, but I’m already sucking back the fluids and watching what I eat. At least I’m trying to watch what I eat. Tomorrow we’ll be heading down to Seattle with Steph and Vince and not long after that it will be blast off time.

Michelle and I are currently on the ferry… this is my first time making use of the wiffi (as they say in Europe) on the boat. Seems fine for blogging. Since it’s just about time to head back to the car, I’ll leave you with my two-nights-before bike ride dinner/supper pics.

Round 1: Full healthiness kind of. You got some protein and some other good stuff. Most importantly not too much bad stuff.

Round 2: There might be some crap in there that I didn't need to consume, but I think I'll be ok. Note to self, the pasta on the ferry always looks better than it tastes.

Round 3: This looks way bigger than it actually was. Fruity sugar was probably not necessary and the Florentine was far from necessary. Please don't make me pay later for eating you.

Best of luck bruddah. Can’t wait to hear about it.

That’s the finest ferry food I have ever seen.

Hydration good! Cookies and refined sugar good but not as good as hydration. Enjoy Portland. I have riden a challenging 32 (yes that’s right 32) kilometers to commemorate your cruise to Portland before it even takes place. What is that? About 20th of your ride. I think that I could make it about half way from Seatle to West Tacoma… if I had a car.

Best of luck and success. Ji and Di
